Teacher Roles and Responsibilities

Being an early childhood teacher requires you to be willing to wear many hats.  As an experienced teacher, you are already prepared to be flexible.  As a new teacher, remember that your job description may change on a daily basis.

In most cases, your role as an early childhood teacher will be very similar to that of a guide. A guide leads others down new paths.  A guide walks beside a person on a journey, not in front.  A guide also keeps others safe from harm.

As an early childhood teacher, you will be challenged to find new experiences to share with children.  Guide children, do not lead them, and move in a direction that interests the child.  As a guide, allow the child to choose their learning and playing style while making safety your number one concern!

Give up the notion that a teacher knows everything.  Become a partner in learning and encourage children to find their own answers instead of providing the answers for them.  By being a partner, teachers learn with the children and share in their experiences.

Early childhood teachers support learning by providing activities and materials that children find engaging.  By facilitating learning, supplying a developmentally appropriate environment, interesting materials, and adequate time to explore, play, and interact, children find learning easy and fun!

To nurture is to nourish.  Nurturing a child encompasses all aspects of development: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical.  In every interaction, a teacher should nurture appropriate growth and development.

Teachers must also take care to listen to a child including interpreting words and actions.  Listening carefully helps teachers determine a child's needs and aids in furthering the child's development.

Teachers communicate with many people throughout the day: parents, children, support staff, the general public, and administrators.  Early childhood teachers must be prepared to communicate with all of these people.  You should feel comfortable opening up, asking questions, seeking advice, and sharing your experiences.

Paperwork, lesson planning, preparing materials and the environment, and negotiating require teachers to have strong management skills.  Managing a classroom requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment.  There are many balls in the air and it is your job is to keep them up and moving!

Teaching is full of many responsibilities, roles, and challenges.  Like most worthwhile endeavors, it brings both challenges and rewards.  Be flexible and you will more readily enjoy the rewards of teaching young children.

What You Need To Know About Travel Insurance

Preparing for a major vacation or getaway requires you to pay all your travel expenses, such as cruises, airplane tickets and package tours in 100% advanced payment. The first two options require you to plan ahead of schedule. To avoid penalties, cancel your trip 60 days ahead of schedule. Companies, however, impose high penalties if you cancel close to your departure time.

Problems at home or diseases can also force you to drop the whole trip, so this can’t be avoided, which means you will try to get your money back. Additionally, your travel guide may also try to bail for his own reasons. Because these bail outs are inevitable, a lot of travel agencies in the industry have been forced to close down.

This makes travel insurance a very important part in planning a travel or a vacation. If you needed to cancel the trip halfway, it is good to have travel insurance so you could circumvent the issue. Among other things, travel insurances also cover for medications. After the September 11 terrorist attack, travel insurance become more of a demand. Years later, what used to be only 12% of travelers asking for travel insurance became 30%.

You have to see to it that your plans include; If you cancel the trip with an acceptable reason, the company will cover all of your expenditures. For example, if you become injured or sick, or a family member dies, it’s likely that you’ll be covered. Other reasons include deciding on the safety of your destination in the last moment, and the likes. If your travel agency somehow closes down, you should be compensated for supplier default. Also, your policy should include terrorism coverage which will reimburse you should your destination become a target of terrorism. Some insurance companies do not include medical care, and this can be really expensive, so you have to make sure it is included. Duplicating your previous health plans may result to conflicts of interest, so make sure you review the details painstakingly. Travel policies also need to include your previous medical conditions in the coverage.

You must buy the policy within a specified number of days after making your first trip payment; otherwise those conditions may be excluded. Finally, consider emergency medical evacuation coverage which provides for transportation in the event of a serious illness or injury. Your emergency medical insurance coverage should also include the transportation expenses of bringing you to the closest facility.

Travel insurance is not a priority for all situations, however. Travel insurance is necessary when; you are taking a multi-leg journey; you’re traveling to an area of unrest; or your trip is particularly expensive. Your travel agency should provide you with more information regarding coverage.

Advantages and Disadvantages Of Universal Health Care

What will universal health care cost us and what will be get from it?

The costs of the new health insurance and health care system will include increased taxes.  In some ways, it won't matter who pays those taxes.  If they are paid by corporations, they will raise the price tags of the goods and services they sell, so the individuals will be hurt as well.  If they are paid by the consumer, then the consumer will have less to pay for goods and services, so the corporations will be hurt as well.

When we look at the cost of any socialized medicine proposal, we should also look at the price of the existing health care system to make comparisons.  In today's medical system, those of us who can pay for national health care subsidize those who can't or won't.  The exact amount is uncertain, but your health insurance premiums are higher because your provider has to raise the rates for those who do pay to make up for those who don't pay.

The costs of our existing health insurance and health care system include the cost of lower productivity when a worker is unable to work because of a medical condition he or she can't afford to treat.  The costs of our present system include the costs associated with more children growing up without a father of mother.

One of the benefits or the present day system is our familiarity with it.  It's like an old car that has a broken driver's door and a big gash in the passenger seat.  We've gotten used to getting in the car from the passenger side and having a blanket over the gash in the seat.  Another car will have problems as well.  The car may be better or worse.  That part is unknown.  What is known is that the car will be unfamiliar and buying a car is a big commitment.

Once we make major changes to our health care system we will be unlikely to go back to the old medical system.  Even if the new system is decidedly worse, we will be stuck with it.  We may have higher price tags or worse care.  We may be able to tweak the new system and fix it or we may determine that the infrastructure is so poor that it too requires an overhaul.

National health care has the potential of boosting our economy.  Many people who are currently shackled to their employers because of the fear of losing their health insurance, may be able to move on to better jobs or start companies and hire others.

Under the present day medical system many people are unable to pay for preventative care.  They often wind up in the hospital and get expensive surgeries that they can't afford to pay for.  These surgeries may extend their lives, but may or may not allow them to work again.  An individual who gets medical care when the problem is a small one may be able to work and pay taxes much longer than the individual who only gets care when the situation is critical.

We should strive to create a system that keeps our workers working longer and our parents parenting longer.

Although we may have a health care system that is broken, there is no guarantee that a new health insurance and health care system will be any better.  However, far too many people are hurt by the present day health insurance and health care system for us to just throw up our hands and do nothing.  If we can ignore the rhetoric and focus on the facts a better medical system can be created that will not only benefit the uninsured, but will make us all stronger.

What are Series 7 Exam Requirements?

The Financial Industry National Regulatory Authority (FINRA (formerly NASD)) Series 7 exam requirements are similar to the usual requirements of generally the licensing test that one must pass in order to become a stockbroker. In order to take the exam, one must first obtain "sponsorship"/employment from a FINRA or exchange member firm. In addition, one must submit a set of fingerprints and undergo a basic background check. Typically to register with a firm and consequently the exam you have to complete a U-4 application. On this application you must disclose such things as prior work history, criminal background (if any), etc.
Series 7 Exam Overview

Time limit: 6 hours (the exam is broken into two parts, each part has a 3 hour time limit)
Exam administration: The Series 7 exam is multiple choice and is given on computer
Number of questions: 250 total (125 for each part).
Pre-requisites: You have to be sponsored by a broker/dealer to schedule to sit for the Series 7 exam through FINRA
Exam fee: $250. Note that this includes a $90 NYSE development fee.
Exam dates: The Series 7 exam is administered Monday through Friday

Common Series 7 exam candidate questions:

What is the Series 7 exam?

If you have come this far you should have a pretty good understanding of what you are in for. The Series 7 exam is probably the most well known securities exam to the general public. You have most likely heard of it before on the silver screen in such movies as Wall Street or Boiler Room. There is a good chance the Series 7 exam will be the most difficult exam you have or will ever take. The Series 7 exam is also known as the General Securities Registered Representative exam. A person who holds a Series 7 license is usually referred to as a stockbroker by the general public. The Series 7 license is the broadest securities license you can attain and will allow you to sell most all types of securities. Depending on your state you may also be required to obtain a Series 63 license, and you firm may require you obtain a Series 66 license in place of the Series 63 license depending on the capacity in which you will work.

What content specifically does the Series 7 exam cover?

The Series 7 exam covers content such as corporate securities (stocks and bonds), municipal securities and U.S. government securities, options, direct participation programs, investment company products, variable contracts and federal securities laws.

What happens if I fail the Series 7 exam?

First off you must be positive. If you study correctly you will pass this exam. However, if for some reason you don't get that magic 70% score and you fail your first attempt at the Series 7 exam, your sponsor can submit an amendment to reopen a window in which you can take the exam again. This window will not open until 30 days since your last exam attempt has transpired. At this point, your window will be open for 90 days.

There is no requirement for a sponsor firm to terminate your employment should you fail. However, every time you rewrite the exam, you must pay the required $200 registration fee. So your employer may require you to reimburse the fees paid to re-schedule the exam.

After three failed attempts, you must wait six months before you can re-take the exam for the fourth time. The six-month waiting period is appropriate since by that point you would have paid a total of approximately $600, and the cumulative expense by the fourth time would be $800. The six-month requirement is intended to provide a window in which an individual can ensure he or she is prepared for the fourth exam attempt. This process will then continue indefinitely, as there is no limit as to the number of times you can attempt the series 7 exam.

Romance, Marriages and Relationships

Romance, Marriages and Relationships

Astrologically Venus is known as the goddess of love. In a male horoscope Venus represents his to be wife. Mars is the energy that super charges this love. Rahu multiplies it to the extreme level.

But desires, pleasure and true love are three different things. Each plays a role in human life and with minute observation one can really deduce their level of intensity in a human life. For example I have always seen Rahu and Venus combination ending in a sudden love marriage, provided Mars is set free from blemishes.

In other cases I have seen that a dasha of Venus or planet like Rahu with Venus also results in an affair. (It can also result in an extra marital affair as well.). But in most of the cases Rahu Venus combination also denotes physical level of love rather than real love. This happens with more intensity when Jupiter is under some kind of blemish. In contrary to this Venus with Jupiter or Jupiter Venus exchange also results in love marriage some times. But this is more on a subtle level and has a grace which lacks in Rahu Venus case.

Watery signs bring more extremity to the passion and emotions. These combinations may result in emotional bonding and attachments. Sometimes when Moon is combined to Saturn and Venus Rahu combines then results are entirely different and sometimes drastic. For a long lasting relationship a male horoscope should always carry a strong Venus, both in D-9 and the ascendant chart. The seventh house should be free from Rahu, Saturn Mars relationship. Ketu should be free of blemishes and should not be placed in the seventh house.

In a female horoscope Jupiter should be strong and free from blemishes. It can be checked in both the charts. A debilitated and weak Jupiter is not good for a happy married life. With this Ketu, Saturn Mars and Rahu should not influence the seventh house.

A malefic Rahu and its dasha in a female horoscope may result in a highly ambitious personality. Such a lady may collapse her relationships when compared against her ambitions.
I have seen people matching their horoscope based on Ashtkoot compatibility. Some more advanced brains even use names for compatibility. Please note that both these methods carry big loopholes and I consider the second method to be the most unreliable one. After checking for Gunas one should look for condition of seventh house lords, Venus, Jupiter, current dasha , blemishes on seventh house, Rashi relationship and only then one can announce the real match. I have a example where a lady has a match of 36 Gunas and she got divorced. She is living all alone in USA. Her seventh house carried a debilitated Mars with Saturn aspect from tenth house. Her Jupiter was also debilitated.(A debilitated Jupiter in the ascendant combined to fourth, seventh, ninth or twelfth house lord in d-4, often results in a foreign travel)

I have noticed through experience that the placement of seventh house lord in a dual sign may also result in a second marriage provided the marriage was done at an early age of twenty one to twenty four. Blemishes created by Mars and Saturn can be avoided by simply avoiding an early marriage.

People are also concerned about Magalike Dosha. While Mangal means Shubha in Vedic terms, it is often associated to a dosha. Mars actually denotes energy. A channelization of energy is denoted by ascendant lord, Moon and associations to Mars. If energy is not channelized in a proper manner it can often results in malefic outbursts and hence can result in a separation.
Mere placement of Mars in ascendant (Narad Shanita), second house or so cannot and should not be considered a dosha.
There are few other point which must be noticed while analyzing some one for relationship:

1. Male or female, both horoscopes should be checked for condition of Jupiter in D-9 and D-1.
2. Seventh house, twelfth house and Moon should be checked for mentality.
3. Rahu, Venus and Mars combination in twelfth house or any other house should be checked thoroughly. Consider Mercury and Jupiter and you can estimate the amount of cheating this person can do.
4. Check for the last finger of both the hands, A bend in the opposite direction or certain blemishes should be checked.
5. Mars, Saturn+Mars, weak Ketu, Rahu+Venus+M ars, Rahu+Mars are certain combinations which indicate some bad habits. Check for influences of Mercury and Jupiter and you can ascertain what a person is upto.

The Taurus Woman

Whether you see her at the market Saturday morning dealing with the sales women or at a festivity, present everywhere, or stuck in traffic without getting hysterical or home preparing a delicious meal for her big family, the Taurus woman is the one that takes her female role seriously. She looks like the woman capable of finding a solution to any problem, and her strategic way of finding the best solution for everything make her wanted everywhere: as a mother, as a lover, as a wife, friend, boss, colleague or neighbor, everything fits her!

Physical appearance:
Taurus women are not very tall and their bodies are pretty muscular but graceful at the same time, since Venus watches over them. They are really good housewives and plenty of them eat a lot, which causes problems for their diets. Usually Taurus women are overweight. They are not always self conscious about how they look, and most of them are a invigorating presence. They walk suggests that they are sure of themselves and know which way to take.

Mentality:
For the Taurus woman, everything is planned and well thought of beforehand. Her practical sense gives her intuition in dealing with materialistic problems. Without dreaming away and gazing absentmindedly into space, the Taurus woman has her time very well organized and her life planed until retirement. She's a very determined woman who knows what she wants, who has expectations and who manages to combine well her career, family, love and money into a relationship.

Her perseverance can lead to obsession when it's about her or her family's interests. She is very loyal; she would never cheat on her husband and would be the last one leaving a sinking ship, only when she made sure that there is absolutely nothing left to do.
She's often possessive and can appear to be pretty difficult for those who judge her by the way she looks. Everything is due to her ability to give and to expect getting the same back. It can happen for a Taurus woman to start thinking only about the materialistic side of things.

Health:
In general, she doesn't have health problems. However, if she gets too stressed, she might start having insomnias, headaches and depressions. At a young age, she might catch flues easily. Careful how you eat and what you eat!

Money:
If you're a Taurus, it's highly probable that making money is your life's goal. You are capable of fighting to go wherever you want to go but without being immoral. You can start up a new business that is based on honest hard work and you will definitely make it. Your practical and strategic sides hardly ever fail, especially when you marry someone that is similar to you.

Love life:
It's like a movie that you've seen twenty times and that you can never get bored of. Although she likes the pleasures of life, she is not adventurous and prefers stability instead of taking risks. She loves strong men that she likes to admire and support. Because she influenced by Venus, she attracts many admirers, from poets to businessmen. She's romantic without being sappy, she's sensual and provoking, capable of offering a lot, and is the partner that every man wants to have as mother, wife and friend.
She doesn't do things in a hurry and takes her time to consider the man she's about to spend her life with. Her presence is welcome, her intelligence resembles old wisdom, the way she manages to keep a home makes her liked by men and the way she loves her children makes her complete.

She is capable of giving her children very good education, and will always be a role model for them.

What is Quran (koran)? Facts About Quran

What is Quran – Facts about Quran

* Quran is spelled as Qur'aan, Koran and commonly as Quran.

* Quran is the noble and Holy Book of the Islamic religion.

* Muslims believe in Quran as the word of God (Allah).

* Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad as the final word from God (Allah).

* According to the teaching of the Islamic Religion (Teachings that Allah taught Muhammad through Quran and other forms of revelation) that the commandments of God (Allah) in Quran supersede all previous commandments that were revealed in previous revelations such as Torah and Bible.

* Muslims believe in Torah and Bible as revelations from God (Allah) BUT not in the actual teachings as they were believed to be altered by people over time

* Muslims believe that Quran has not changed since its revelation. Allah has taken guarantee in the Quran itself that Allah will protect such from happening.

* The teachings in the Quran dictate Muslims' way of life.
* Muslims recite Quran in their prayers daily.
* Quran is recited the most in the month of Ramadan (the month of fasting).
* Quran was revealed on Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) over a period of 23 years.

* The verses and chapters in the Quran were revealed depending on the various incidents that occurred during the life time of Prophet Muhammad. The whole idea was to reinforce Quranic teachings in the life of Muslims and make it more practical for them to follow. For example, prior to the revelation of Quran, people used to drink alcohol. The first verses of the Quran prohibited Muslims not to pray while they are intoxicated (as they do not know what they are praying). However, later, verses were revealed that completely prohibited alcohol for Muslims. Allah mentioned in the Quran that the harms inflicted by drinking alcohol are far more than its benefits.

* Quran is divided into many chapters with each chapter having verses.

* Quran was revealed in the Arabic language and Muslims all over the world recite it in the same language. However, translations have surfaced to help Muslims and non-Muslims alike understand the interpretation of the Quran. Translations should be read very carefully as simple translations mostly do not convey the real meanings of what was revealed. A simple example would be the term "what's up?" used in American vocabulary. When someone uses that sentence, he literally does not mean "what is up?", rather it means "what is happening" or "what do you want", etc.

Breath Meditation: Some of the many ways in which breath meditation may help you enhance your general well being

Now I'd like to share with you my favorite form of meditation, called "breath meditation." I believe it is one of the most powerful, yet one of the easiest, meditations to learn.

Before we begin, let's talk a bit about the mind. The mind is made up of wave patterns. When we think, it causes wave patterns to occur in the brain. There are four main types of brain waves. The pattern we are normally in when awake and thinking is called "beta wave" or "beta state." When we are dropping off to sleep and the mind begins to quiet, that is "alpha state." When we are asleep or quietly meditating, that is "theta state." The deepest state of sleep or of meditation (where there is no body awareness) is called "delta state."

The goal in meditation is to get you to the theta/delta stage. I have found that the breath meditation technique is one of the most effective ways to get to the deeper levels of meditation and still the mind. Most people who are new to meditation and are trying a variety of ways to meditate will vacillate between the beta and alpha states in their initial practice. These stages of meditation are relaxing and a wonderful experience, but as with all things in life, the more you practice, the better you will get. Eventually you will desire to quiet the mind at the theta/delta levels and will go to the deeper realms of meditation to achieve this stage.

Now let's talk about this effective and helpful way to quiet the mind, called "breath meditation." It can also be the most challenging way, because although it's simplistic, it is not always easy to do. It is easy to learn but sometimes difficult to practice.

In this form of meditation, you simply "follow your breath." Just observe your breathing with no mantra, no prayer word, just simple and quiet noticing of the breath. How it works is that you sit up straight in a quiet, comfortable place with your feet on the floor or legs crossed. As you sit there, watch or take notice of your breath. Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, and breathe out. You can breathe in through your mouth or your nose, it doesn't' matter. The only thing that matters is paying attention to your breath.

If something distracts you, simply come back to your breathing. When strenuous or uncomfortable thoughts arise (come to the surface), don't try to ignore them or push them away but instead acknowledge them and go back to observing your breathing. Allow your attention to focus on that. Acknowledge any distractions, without being annoyed by them, and simply direct your awareness back to your breath. Eventually, thoughts will diminish, your mind will get quiet, and your brain patterns will begin to be at those deeper levels. You will find a deep peace that you may have never experienced before. Stresses will dissolve, and a sense of well-being will envelop you.

I encourage you to try the breath meditation and to practice it often. I also strongly suggest you meditate twice a day, once first thing in the morning and again just before bed at night. I find these times to be the easiest to make into a habit. We can meditate any time of the day or night, but it's best to make a point of doing it twice daily and to establish a routine of morning and evening meditation. A sense of peace will develop in your life with regular practice. In my experience, breath meditation is one of the most powerful meditations in the universe.

The Breath Meditation is a simple technique.  In this form of meditation, what I want you to do is simply "follow your breath".  Follow your breath with no mantra, no prayer word, just simple and quiet following of your breath.  How it works is that you sit in a quiet, comfortable place, sitting up with your feet on the floor or legs crossed.  As you are sitting there watch or take notice of your breath.  Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, and breathe out.  You can breathe in through your mouth or your nose, it doesn't' matter.  The only thing that matters is following your breath.  If something distracts you, simply come back to your breath.  When strenuous thoughts or uncomfortable thoughts arise or come to the surface, don't try to ignore them or push them away but instead acknowledge them and go back to your breath.  Focus on your breath, nothing but your breath.  Again, any distractions are acknowledged but always to simply go back to your breath.  There are no thoughts, your mind will get quiet and still inside and your brain patterns will begin to go to those deeper levels.  You will find a deep peace that you may only experience when you are at a deep sleep at night; however, with meditation you are giving your mind this break during the day.  Stresses will go away and peace will come to you.

I encourage you to try the Breath Meditation and practice it often.  I also highly suggest you meditate twice a day, once first thing in the morning and again just before bed at night.  I find these times to be the easiest to make into a habit.  You can meditate at any time of day or night, but I highly suggest you make it a point to do so twice a day, once first thing in the morning and again just before bed at night.  The Breath Meditation is truly what I consider to be one of the most powerful meditations in the universe.

Lightweight & Ultralight Camping Equipment Advice

Lightweight Tents & Camping Equipment Advice

CheapTents.com specialises in selling top quality tents and camping equipment at discount prices. We have operated in this industry for almost 20 years, and 7 years of that online, so when it comes to giving outdoor gear advice, we know our stuff!

Being specialists in selling lightweight and ultralight outdoor clothing and camping equipment, here is some very helpful advice for outdoor sports people interested in backpacking, adventure racing, lightweight expeditions and a variety of other lightweight outdoor and camping activities.

Why is lightweight camping and outdoor gear so important?

Lightweight gear is amongst the most technologically advanced outdoor clothing and camping equipment available. This is because it uses the specially advanced technologies which serve the same core purposes as 'regular weight' outdoor gear, but at a reduced weight.

Outdoor Sports: Outdoor sports enthusiasts and athletes have come to value lightweight camping and sports equipment because of the way it enhances their performance, hence the increasingly popular manufacture of ultralight tents, clothing and equipment. Adventure runners, backpackers and mountain bikers are amongst those looking to shave every gram off their pack weight.

Lightweight Backpacking and Travel: It's important to realise that whilst you're traveling around the world, taking a gap year, or backpacking for a weekend in the fells, you will greatly appreciate good quality, lightweight clothing and equipment, as no one else is going to offer to carry your backpack for you!

Reduced pack weight: By reducing the weight of the gear you are carrying with you, it means that you are putting less strain on your legs, making yourself less top heavy and more than likely reducing your pack size which means you can squeeze through more crevasses!
Reduced clothing weight: Agility is helped by reduced friction against key areas of your body's movement. By having less weight, you are reducing the gravitational pull of your gear towards the ground, when most people want to be moving forward. Importantly, lightweight and ultralight equipment often means less bulk, which too helps to reduce the friction of clothing against your body and make it easier to conquer another mountain!

Packing Your Backpack

Prioritise. When packing your backpack, like many people I bet you think of an occasion (however remote) where you might actually need the melon baller. Well, the chances are you won't, so don't pack it. The rule is, when your lightweight packing, is to focus on absolute need and emergency need, which includes at the very least: water, food, shelter, warmth and safety.
Ask yourself these questions when packing your rucksack:

1. Do I need it? Throw out luxury items. 'Luxury' means different things to different people but try and stretch yourself with removing these items, as it makes a huge difference to the way you enjoy the outdoors.
2. How many times will I use it? Just the once - is it worth it?
3. Can something else replace it? Can it double-up as something else?
4. Can I share the weight with someone else (e.g. backpackers often share the weight of a tent)
5. If I was caught-out without it, would I be in a safe and secure situation?
Note: Don't make any cut-back where it might compromise your safety or others.

"Make sure you have the best lightweight outdoor gear"
Providing lightweight equipment to campers and outdoor sports enthusiasts is a speciality in the outdoor industry who are keen to buy top brands at discount prices. If you're new to specialist lightweight gear, then here are a few items of very lightweight outdoor gear that you might consider investing in...

The Terra Nova Laser Comp tent is a great example of an ultralight tent, weighing in at a mere 900g - officially regarded as the world's lightest two-skin tent.

Bivi Bags - if you're looking for a truly ultralight camping experience, consider a bivi bag. Simply climb into your sleeping bag and bivi bag, and sleep under the stars in a very minimalist and lightweight form of camping.

Ultralight down sleeping bags - although you can get lightweight synthetic sleeping bags, the real gains are to be found in the high-loft, warm, ultralight down sleeping bags - a superb investment as getting a good night sleep is vital to enjoying the outdoors.

Lightweight camping mat - some hardcore minimalist campers may see any sort of camping mat as a luxury, whereas others see lightweight camp mats as more about getting a good night sleep to aid their recovery and performance the next day.

Lightweight rucksack / backpack - many outdoor people, regardless of whether they are fell runners or backpackers value the weight savings in having a strong yet lightweight rucksack or backpack. Your comfort, speed and agility often correlate with the style of pack that you use. Always choose a specialist, lightweight rucksack or backpack if at all possible.

Lightweight camping stoves - camping stoves have come along way with ultralight versions being available with little, if any, loss to burning and boiling time. Many ultralight camping stoves weigh less than 150-200g making eating a warm, nutritious meal on the hill easy and lightweight.

Titanium pan set - you can eat out of the bowl and the lid also doubles up as a plate. The titanium pan set is ultra lightweight, strong and versatile.

Titanium cutlery - Tired of carrying around cheap cutlery only to break it half way through your Wayfayrer meal? Try titanium cutlery - ultralight weight and incredibly strong.

Ultralight and Lightweight Clothing & Footwear:
Lightweight waterproof jackets - lightweight jackets that are waterproof have been developed by manufacturers for outdoor sports enthusiasts and for stuffing away in your backpack for those 'just in case' occasions. CheapTents.com has a great selection of lightweight waterproof jackets and trousers available from some of the very best outdoor brands.

Softshell jackets - for a warm layer, consider a softshell / windproof fleece. Softshell jackets provide the warmth of a fleece, water repellency, breathability and endurance with toughened wear-areas, and promote agility for outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Lightweight trekking trousers - important piece of kit for those trekkers, looking to stay warm, and take advantage of lightweight hard-wearing trousers that can be used for a variety of outdoor activities.

Running shorts - handy to wear whilst your washing your trousers, or simply for running or walking in warmer weather. Running shorts are a great way to save space, weight and stay comfortable in warmer conditions. Even in the rain, runners and walkers often wear them as it means they are not carrying around excess mud and water in their clothing.

Baselayers - baselayers, or base layer tops and bottoms, are quick drying, fast wicking and reduce odour. Avoid cotton t-shirts as they loose insulative properties and gain weight when wet. baselayers are a very important of anyones layering system and is highly recommended! Baselayer underwear - outdoor clothing manufacturers have even gone to effort of keeping people comfortable by designing baselayer boxers and pants.

Weight saving tips:
1. A decent cooking pan can work as a eating bowl, and, you guessed it, a cooking pan! Do you really need a plate and a bowl?
2. How many tent pegs do you need for the weather? You can now get ultralight tent pegs?
3. Many baselayers are quick drying, wicking, low odour and so can be worn again and again, and dry quickly after a quick wash.
4. Share the weight of your tent - is a two man lightweight tent lighter than two ultralight one man tents?
5. Down sleeping bags are far lighter (weight to warmth ratio is better).
6. Toiletries - shaving gel is heavy and bulky, consider shaving oil or go without. Don't go over board and throw-away your deodorant - going lightweight isn't worth losing your friends over! Empty your toothpaste and other liquids into smaller containers - taking just what you need. Consider taking a mini toothbrush too, and leaving the hairdryer.
7. Take a single lightweight camping stove rather than a double-hob camping stove, just cook one thing at a time and eat it as it comes off the hob
8. Stainless steel or titanium cutlery and a multi-tool pen-knife will be the only utensils and tools you'll need
9. Food - sauce sachets help to make any meal interesting! Tins are heavy - try Wayfayrer meals as these are very popular with lightweight enthusiasts.
10. Drinks - decant drinks from glass and plastic bottles into a Platypus or Camelbak bladder.
11. Money - always spend your lose change before you break into a note.
12. First aid kit - take everything you need, or might need - don't make any cutbacks.

Items to avoid:
1. Camping chairs and tables - just find a couple of rocks, or sit on the floor.
2. Synthetic sleeping bags (down sleeping bags are much lighter for the same comfort temperature).
3. Too many clothes - buy quick drying clothing and wash it before you go to bed.
4. Heavy-duty inflatable mattresses - ridiculously heavy!
5. Camping stoves that are bulky and require bulky gas canisters - mini lightweight stoves are available.

Importantly, use your common sense when packing your lightweight gear. It's too easy to get carrried away with taking everything, including the kitchen sink, oven and juicer. Don't go heavy, be a lightweight.

Plan Properly For Your Next Camping Vacation

Do you think that planning is a little bit boring? It can certainly seem like something that shouldn't be associated with camping trips and other outdoor experiences. The truth is, however, that great planning is vital if you truly want to have a great time.

Why should it matter? There have probably been plenty of occasions when you've been able to have a wonderful experience, without doing an enormous amount of preparation in advance. This is something that many people suggest, although I would argue that this really misses the point.

It certainly is possible to have a successful experience in this way, but your chances of running into problems are seriously increased if you fail to prepare. I hear a lot of people talking about the fact that they seem to have camping trips destroyed by the weather, by other people, or by the location that they have selected.

Although it can be harsh to realise that this is the case, it's true to say that we usually only have ourselves to blame for such failings. If we're unable to prepare properly, then we're far more likely to run into significant problems. In order to explain this, let's look at some of the most common issues that people tend to mention.

Let's begin by thinking about weather conditions. It actually seems pretty obvious that wind, rain and other harsh conditions could lead to problems. Indeed, you may wonder whether it's even possible to enjoy a camping trip when you're faced by such conditions. If you don't think that it would be possible to do so, then you're simply not thinking in a practical and creative manner.

The reality is that bad weather needn't ruin the whole experience. Instead, it's just one of those things that needs to be tackled. So how should you begin doing so? The first thing to say is that you can't afford to make the mistake of assuming that the weather will be fantastic during the course of the trip. Although the weather forecast may seem great, you need to think about how reliable it is. Do you really want to take any risks?

Assume that you may face a mixed picture and seek to pack accordingly. This means ensuring that you'll be able to keep warm and dry at night. It also means making sure that you have layers of clothing available to you. You certainly won't want to be caught out, without having suitable protection available to you.

It's also clear that you'll need to think carefully about your travelling companions. Do you have a similar outlook when it comes to camping? If not, you may wish to think again about the choices that you're making. It's easy to see how bad choices can lead to problems.

Forex trading, what the hype is all about

Forex trading, what the hype is all about

Forex trading is all about making big money. Some investors have found it quite easy to make a large amount of money as the forex market changes daily. Forex, is the foreign exchange market. Online and offline you will find references to the forex market as FX as well. Forex trading takes place through a broker or a financial institution often where you are able to purchase other types of stocks, bonds and investments.

When you are thinking about getting involved in the forex markets you should know you are sending money to be invested with other countries. This is done to prop up the investments of people involved in certain types of hedge funds, and in the markets overseas. The forex market could have your money invested in one market one day, and the next day your money is invested in another country. The daily changes are determined by your broker or financial institution. When reading your statements and learning more about your account, you will find that every type of currency has three letters that will represent that currency.

For example, the United States dollars is USD, the Japanese yen is JPY, and the British pound sterling will read as GBP. You will also find that for every transaction on your account listing you will see information that looks like this: JPYzzz/GBPzzz. This means that you took your Japanese yen money and invested it into something in the British pound market. You will find many transactions from one currency to another if you have money that is scattered through out the forex markets.

Forex markets trading by investment management firms are the companies you can trust with your money. You want to find a company that has been dealing with forex trading since the early seventies, and not someone just new on the block so you get the most for your hard earned money. It is important that you beware of companies that are popping up online, and often times from foreign countries that are stating they can get you involved in the forex markets and trading. Read the fine print, and know whom you are dealing with for the best possible protection.

If you are interested in trading on the forex market, you will find limits for investing are different from company to company. Often times you will learn that you need a minimum of $250 or $500 while other companies will need $1000 or $10,000. The company you are dealing with will set limits in how much you need to open an account with their company. The scams that are online will tell you, that you only need a $1 or $5 to open an account, but you need to learn more about that company and where they are doing business before investing any money, this is for your own protection while dealing in forex trading and markets online.

FOREX (Foreign Exchange Market)

FOREX (Foreign Exchange Market)

The foreign exchange market is also known as FX or it is also found to be referred to as the FOREX. All three of these have the same meaning, which is the trade of trading between different companies, banks, businesses, and governments that are located in different countries. The financial market is one that is always changing leaving transactions required to be completed through brokers, and banks. Many scams have been emerging in the FOREX business, as foreign companies and people are setting up online to take advantage of people who don't realize that foreign trade must take place through a broker or a company with direct participation involved in foreign exchanges.

Cash, stocks, and currency is traded through the foreign exchange markets. The FOREX market will be present and exist when one currency is traded for another. Think about a trip you may take to a foreign country. Where are you going to be able to 'trade your money' for the value of the money that is in that other country? This is FOREX trading basis, and it is not available in all banks, and it is not available in all financial centers. FOREX is a specialized trading circumstance.

Small business and individuals often times looking to make big money, are the victims of scams when it comes to learning about FOREX and the foreign trade markets. As FOREX is seen as how to make a quick buck or two, people don't question their participation in such an event, but if you are not investing money through a broker in the FOREX market, you could easily end up losing everything that you have invested in the transaction.

Scams to be wary of
A FOREX scam is one that involves trading but will turn out to be a fraud; you have no chance of getting your money back once you have invested it. If you were to invest money with a company stating they are involved in FOREX trading you want read closely to learn if they are permitted to do business in your country. Many companies are not permitted in the FOREX market, as they have defrauded investors before.

In the last five years, with the help of the Internet, FOREX trading and the awareness of FOREX trading has become all the rage. Banks are the number one source for FOREX trading to take place, where a trained and licensed broker is going to complete transactions and requirements you set forth. Commissions are paid on the transaction and this is the usual.

Another type of scam that is prevalent in the FOREX markets is software that will aid you in making trades, in learning about the foreign markets and in practicing so you can prepare yourself for following and making trades. You want to be able to rely on a program or software that is really going to make a difference. Consult with your financial broker or your bank to learn more about FOREX trading, the FX markets and how you can avoid being the victim while investing in these markets.
